The Sparta Recreation Authority (SRA) is charged with constructing and managing the new Sparta Sports Park. Its members are appointed by the Township, the Village and S.A.R.A.
The Sparta Area Recreation Association (S.A.R.A.) is a non-profit group of volunteers, representing various youth sports organizations in the Sparta area. This group coordinated the fund-raising for the new park.
