SPARTA RECREATIONAL AUTHORITY MEETING

The Sparta Recreational Authority will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sparta Civic Center located at 75 N. Union St., Sparta, MI 49345. The purpose of the special meeting is to appoint a treasurer for the organization and any other business properly before the authority board.
This notice is posted in compliance with the requirements of the Open Meeting Act, Act 267 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1976, as amended. Questions or written comments may be directed to the SRA Chairman, Robert Whalen at 156 E. Division, Sparta, Michigan, Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING
SPARTA TOWNSHIP BOARD
TO: CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SPARTA, KENT COUNTY, MICHIGAN.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on the 9th day of January 2025, the Sparta Township Board will hold a public hearing at the Sparta Township Office 160 E Division St, Sparta, MI 49345 at 7:00 p.m., local time, to hear and consider the following:
Agenda item 1:
The parks plan for consideration of adopting the plan.
Agenda item 2:
A Resolution to approve the 5- year 2024-2028, Sparta parks and Recreation Master Plan.

Any person interested in this matter may appear at such hearing in person or by agent or attorney. Written comments concerning this matter may be filed prior to the hearing with the Sparta Township Clerk, Sparta Township Office 160 E Division St, Sparta, MI 49345 (Phone 616-887-8863), between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday -Thursday.
The Parks plan and Resolution may be examined by any person at the Sparta Township Office at the address and times above or on the website at spartatownship.org, in the link below this article.
The Township will provide reasonable auxiliary aids and services at this hearing, such as signers for hearing impaired persons and audio tapes of printed materials for visually impaired persons, upon receipt of seven days prior notice. Disabled persons requiring such auxiliary aids or services should so notify the Township by contacting the Township Clerk.
